The idea for forming the Chesterfield Branch of Liverpool FC supporters came as a result of a chance meeting between three guys, Neil Kniveton, Brian Lunn and Dave Torrington.  This meeting took place in 1996 on a coach returning to Clay Cross from a tour of Anfield.Three strangers who all shared a passion for Liverpool, and had a vision to create an opportunity for Liverpool fans of all ages to support the best football club in the world. The following week a meeting was held at the Gate Inn ,North Wingfield and some thirty plus local Liverpool fans attended. Two things came from this meeting, the formation of the first committee and an impromptu “whip round” to pay for a promotional advert in the Chesterfield Advertiser. Several weeks later” North Derbyshire Reds” were born.

Fifteen years on the branch has evolved into a small business, proud to maintain its family image. Travelling all over Britain and Europe, supporting the mighty Liverpool.  Committee members past and present must be thanked for their contributions as must each and every Chesterfield Branch Member.
